Elder Donnie Rosa, affectionately known as "Brother D", is part of the full
time pastoral staff as well as the Worship Leader for ALWCW. In May, 1978,
at the age of 15, Donnie was working out in the gym when he was presented
the gospel by Pastor Joe Arminio who was active in the health and fitness
industry at the time. He went home, gave his life to the Lord in his bedroom
and was radically saved. "I felt light as a bird and began to weep. I
actually started openly worshipping the Lord as I ran to my best friend's
house and found out that he had given his heart to the Lord at the same
time."
Elder Donnie started attending ALWC Nutley right after he was saved. He
began his lifetime journey studying God’s Word under Bishop Peter Bruno. In
1991, he was sent out with Pastor Joe to help with the youth and worship
when Pastor Joe pioneered Abundant Life Worship Center of Whippany. Since
then, Elder Donnie has made it his mission to be Pastor Joe’s “armor
bearer”. He considers it an honor and privilege to support the vision of his
pastor and spiritual father.
Elder Donnie’s deepest desire is to see the body of Christ experience the
glory of God through a pure expression of praise and worship. He loves
receiving songs from the breath of God that bring us closer to Him. His
favorite scripture is Psalm 16:11, “You make known to me the path of life;
In your presence there is fullness of joy; At your right hand are pleasures
forevermore.” Donnie is dedicated to helping the Body of Christ achieve
fullness of joy in their own lives.
Brother D is passionate about the cause of Christ and bringing people to
another level in Him. His warm personality, transparency and sense of humor
mixed with his teaching, have impacted many lives. Donnie and his wife,
Linda, have been married since 1991 and raise their four children, Michael,
Deanna, Nicole and Natalie, to follow Jesus.
