Fred Sanles grew up on the streets of Newark, New Jersey and was miraculously saved at age 27. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in response to an altar call given by Bishop Peter Bruno at Abundant Life Worship Center of Nutley, New Jersey.
Fred came face to face with a supernatural God who transformed his life for all eternity and called him into a teaching and prophetic ministry.
In answer to the call of God on his life, he attended Rhema Bible Training Center where he met and married his wife Evelyn shortly after graduation. Fred and his wife then attended the Missionary Evangelism Training Institute in Rye, Texas under the leadership of Rev. Burnie Davis. This training culminated in a mission trip to various parts of Mexico. Fred and his wife then moved to Houston, Texas where they joined the staff of Lakewood Church and trained under the late Dr. John Osteen.
In 1982, Fred accepted an invitation to move to Albany, New York where he established Reigning Life Family Church. The church was located in the suburbs for many years, but purchased a building and answered a call from God to relocate to an impoverished urban area in the South End of Albany in 2000. For the past decade, Pastor Fred and his multi-cultural congregation have ministered to the urban poor and hurting people through the church’s many outreaches including Club Zoe, Inc. Club Zoe was established through the church’s youth outreach and provides meals, after-school programs, a formal academics program, Boy Scouts and other enrichment opportunities to help at-risk youth stay in school, graduate, and succeed in life. The most important ministry of the church is Pastor Fred’s anointed teaching that his congregation receives each service.
Pastor Fred spends much time in the presence of the Lord in his quest to receive revealed knowledge from God’s Word. His wife Evelyn lovingly thinks of him as a modern day Daniel because of the integrity and honor that he maintains in his everyday life and walk with God. His other mission trips include travel to Guatemala, France, and the Philippines.
